Title: Wanted: Level wind combo

Looking for a start up set up for a buddy. Reiber has a good looking combo for sale (7000 Abu + 11"6 Trophy XL), but I'd like to scoop him something a bit lighter if possible. More suited for Vedder fall fishing.

Ideal rod would be a 10"6 medium or med-heavy trigger rod. Shimano convergence or Fenwick HMX or similar. Ideal reel would be an Abu 6500, Shimano Cardiff or similar. Don't care if the reel is spooled up I have lots of bulk mono.

Budget $150ish for the combo.

I have a Sedge 10'6" Casting rod with Ambassador 6000 1976 Circa Red reel, reconditioned by Mike's reels.

Thanks for the offer but I already have a sale pending with Reiber. Just waiting for my buddy to give me the green light as I'm not buying for myself.
