How I never hit a submerged log or dead head after tons of hrs on the area waters ( rivers /straight/sound from 2003 to 2014 ) is against the odds,me thinks.
One US boater I knew about hit a log & damaged his boat in WA waters. Created a leak but not big enough to drink his boat.
 Posted that maybe the log came from the Fraser R & drifted to USA waters.  ;D
With the high waters there is extra crap in the local waters.
Extra caution.
