Title: 20 hp Honda 4 Stroke OB Long Shaft * SOLD*
Post by: ShaunO on June 04, 2017, 11:51:46 AM
Looking to sell my 4 stroke OB.  It is a 2007 model, long shaft,  with 334.4 hours on it (hour meter installed at time of purchase by Carter Honda).  It was serviced by Carter Honda in fall 2015 (200 hour service) and has not seen much use since that time.  We are the original owners (bill of sale, warranty card, etc. as proof) and have the owner manual as well as a spare prop for it.  The unit has electric start with charging, gas assist tilt and is setup for tiller controls.  Has 2 Honda gas tanks and hose.

Is currently on a stand and can be seen running (hose adapter included)

Here is the model number for this OB

Model:  BF20DKOLHBC

This would make a great kicker for a larger boat or a decent power plant for a 15' +/- runabout.

Located in Cloverdale.

$2250 OBO

Fair price.  I literally just bought a new 15HP Merc this Saturday.  I would have been all over this.

Timing is everything!

We upgraded to a 25hp Merc with power tilt/trim and its a beast.  Going to be adding some ballast to the bow as a result.

Funny, I just went the other way.  Last week I sold my 30HP Mariner 2 stroke and 'downsized' to the new 15hp Merc.  I figure I will lose about 5mph from 29-30mph top speed to 24-25mph.

I will miss the top speed and instant torque for sure.  But will love being able to troll off the main, not needing to bring along my electric motor and battery etc.  Let alone not mixing gas, the smoke show and hard starting that comes with a 30 year old motor.

I would have loved to get a new 20-30hp 4 stroke, but I have to take my motor off and on after every use because of theft.  Its just too damn heavy for me.  And this new 15hp merc fell into my lap for $1800 all in, so I had to jump on it.

Again, good luck with the sale and sorry for the hijack.  This is a good deal folks.  Price out a new one.  It will be over 4K.

Have taken deposit for the motor.  Pick-up soon.  Will advise when/if the sale is complete.
