I was recently reading through some older posts on crabbing around Vancouver and found that this area/dock was mentioned a fair bit. I was wondering wether the dock is open to crabbing right now (the old posts said it was closed from spring through summer due to boat traffic but is open in the later fall and winter). And also wether anybody has crabbed there recently/is its any good for crabbing? Any help would be much appreciated.

Check here and/or call in if unsure. Best to get the up to date facts than rely on the message board which may contain invalid or outdated information;

Have fun out there.

If I recall the seasonal closure of the dock to fishing is managed by the parks board, not the DFO, so you might want to give the parks board a call for the current status. I called them a couple years ago to get the closure dates but I cant remember the details.
