Really nice light pin set-up for Coho or Steelhead in the smaller local flows.
Rod - Fenwick HMG-GSH 1262 with custom Carbon Grips
New condition
Reel - Hardy Silex Jewel 4"
Well used condition but still spins really nice, new Maxima 20# line
Would like $555 for the pair.

Hey Jim,
I make the grips with carbon sheathing over a high density structural foam core.
The grips are stronger and lighter than traditional cork and transfer sensitivity better than cork.
Purist pin and fly guys refuse to buy in to the benefits of carbon because of the looks but.........any who used it like it.

Those handles are nice and very light ;)  I have built up two and when reamed properly are easy to install, thing is most BC anglers don't seem to like them, preferring more traditional cork. 
Give it some time Sr SQ; they will come to like them!

Compliments to the builder of that rod, very nice.

Thx Dave I take that as a great compliment after seeing some of your work, especially your thread work 8)

it took me a while (30-40)  to get them to where they are at now but its been worth it IMO

Everyone I have built one for wants another so its just a mater of getting people to try something different, but you are right this is a staunch purist cork snob crowd out on this coast LOL
