Title: Alouette Lake Boat Launch
Post by: Birkenhead on August 11, 2016, 05:55:33 PM
It has been a couple of years since last visiting Alouette Lake and I cannot recall if there is any gate closures in the park before or at the boat launch. I was thinking of heading up there early Saturday morning at about 4:30 - 5:00 am to fish for a few hours before the lake gets busy.

Does any know about any possible gate closures that would derail my early start plans?

They do close the front entrance gate overnight (I believe 7am without actually checking)
There's usually a line up waiting for the gate to open then GONG!

Thanks for the gong warning. I imagine that the lake will be busy, especially with the nice weather forecast this weekend. Now I am reconsidering my plans and probably wait until after Labour day to fish Alouette.

It's absolutely a gong show.  I waited close to an hour and a half to pull the boat out last summer when we had guests that wanted to see the lake on a weekend.  Line was back almost to the parking lot turnoff.
