A friend and I got to the second beach at 7am no bites yet nothings jumping. Seems like its empty.
We parked at the second parking spot past the dam.
It dosn't open till 9 we just parked up the road on the side and walked down. Were gonna try down by the stave bridge by the highway later if there is no luck here. I'll update again later. Atleast there isnt anyone else here.

What are you targeting there?

Trying chinook and my friends trying trout

The Stave doesnt get really get a summer chinook run so if you ever got one that would be a cool catch indeed and probably a stray from another system. I believe there is currently no retention of Chinook in the Stave but you probably already knew that.
Should have a good chance of getting some trout and maybe some whitefish or pikeminnow though.

lots of cutthroat trouts there in the spring, not sure about now.
