This year, for the first time, I'm going to give bar fishing a go. I have two 11"6 Technium (med-heavy, 12-25 line rating) rods that I could probably "make work." However I would like to pick up a used rod or two that is a more fitting tool for the job. I'm not looking for anything high-end/pricey (Sage 4 power or whatever). Shimano, Fenwick, Trophy and similar brands will do just fine as long as the blank and eyelets are not damaged. Rod(s) must be casting/level-wind style and between 10 and 12 feet in length
I have several reels that are suitable, I just need a beefier rod(s).
If you have something that fits the bill and you are looking to sell please email me at kcp@alumni.sfu.ca

that 116 will probably work just fine those rods are near indestructible
and rarely do you need to cast far

I'm not so worried about breaking the technium, more concerned that the rod is underpowered for fighting in a big spring, with a huge amount of lead on, and in the Fraser. The recommended power rating exceeds the med-heavy Technium by a fair bit. However I might just use what I have the 1st few times out as I have never bar fished before and it might not be for me.
