Title: Reliable wind forecasts
Post by: BananasQ on April 02, 2016, 10:38:40 AM
I'm thinking of taking the kids and the canoe out tomorrow for a spot of fishing in belcarra or sasamat, or maybe some crabbing in around Belcarra. The biggest challenge is that the wind can make that pretty tough if it picks up. Does anyone have a good source for wind forecasts for both land and marine areas? Thanks in advance.

Your reading it wrong, looks sunny with winds of 6 km per hour. Type in Anmore.

I also have a canoe and have wanted to try Belcarra, what would be enough wind to make you cancel a trip?

Great question. I don't know, but the 3 or 4 km/h seemed fine. If it were 6 or above I would be thinking hard as it can then gust a fair bit more. Going to try and monitor that.
