Title: Fraser Report July 17
Post by: Aurora on July 17, 2004, 09:09:05 PM
Got to the river around 1 and began fishing.  Asked around and found that there were no reports of any fish being caught.  Fished for about an hour when I noticed FunFish heading down the bank.  Said Hi and gave him my sad report of no fish.  Soon after he had left to go down river to try his luck I hooked into something.  A few head shakes and my main line snapped.   >:(  After that, nothing.  Tried for about 2 hours then went down river to see how Funfish was doing.  On the way I spoke to someone who did catch a nice Spring.  Looked about 15lb.  As I arrived he was pulling in a Sockeye.  I helped him release it and then found out that is the only fish he had caught so far.    I guess to sum things up, things were kinda slow.  Hope things pick up tomorrow.

Closer to hope.  Not sure what you call it.  I call it snaggy bar because you usually lose a lot of gear.

Fished Island 22 all morning two springs landed out of a group of 20+, moved over to Spaghetti just in time for a run, 4 boats landing fish all at the same time including ours, nice 19 pounder. But yes, slow...
