I had one of those. I used it till I wore right through the bushing. Loved that reel.

ya, very good reel, smooth and light. Good for the hands for long hours of steelheading. Being a low serial# of 25, I treat this reel like a collector item and used my other pins more. I have 3 pins altogether. So this reel should last for a long time.

So if you like a light, smooth, lightly used, and a reel of tradition and prestige, this is the reel for you. Give me an offer if you like.

bump it up for a nice center pin.

Great reel.......love mine, but not a bushing a bearing
I believe yours like mine is a Purist I not the II
"I" are worth more, do ya still have the wood box and the certificate?
Good luck on the sale

price reduced for a great centerpin

Very nice however had it been BJ and bushing I'd take it.

Does the reel have a line guard? I guess it could be fished left or right handed? Is it bearing or bushing?
Thx

The Purist II reel has 2 ball bearings from publications, but I am not sure if mine is ball bearing or bushing. How can you tell physically without taking apart the inside? No line guard for this reel.
