I have a beautiful Sage CP "brown blank" rod that is different from the 'brown blanks' of the past 15 years.  It is the GII graphite making the rod lighter and great parabolic action.  The base of the blank is thinner than current Browns.  I had the cork, reel seat and butt cap redone by Dave Barnes this past week.  Components are: Gold Alps reel seat, Gold butt cap, high quality cork handles, red with black accent wraps, hard oxide guides and hook keeper.
