Is that a brood/ stock fish? I have a few questions about this as I wonder what the immune system is like on those fish vs a wild, controlled conditions vs in a river and so forth. Not a fan of those kind of gloves as I've used them before when handling commercial catches and those things tend to end up soaked in slime.

Personally, if I am not going to keep a fish I try my very best not to put my hands on it at all, get the fish into knee deep water and this little hook tool I got from LordCo a loong time ago to dislodge any deep hooks, and the ole pinch with fingers and let it swim away technique.
I've had a nice wild coho rip into my thumb a few weeks back trying to get a hook out of the corner of it's mouth, little guy left me bleeding but I see it as a sort of even trade... a little of my blood for a little of their blood. :P
