It's not what you think...
Phillips Brewing is running a contest where the Pacific Salmon Foundation is one of 10 finalists in the Phillips Benefit brew contest. The winner will get a unique beer crafted for them and the partial proceeds from that beer will go to that cause. Past years have seen the winners take in $10,000+. So if you like beer, or you like fishing, or heaven forbid you like both, then you can cast your vote here.

You can only vote once a day, but you can vote from as many devices as you like. So hoist a cold one in the name of fishing!

Innis and Gunn, you try their rum finish?

I try to sample them all, even the brews not available in Canada...love the rum finish. Actually, there is only one I&G brew I didn't like at all: the white oak wheat beer. Yuk.
All the special editions notwithstanding, the original brew still turns my crank the most. :D

Number of years ago they did a one time run of Rum Cask
That was good good beer

I wish they brought them back more often. Sadly, BC is not a high priority market. :(

Limited edition but several stores have them.
They only do so much and what we (Canada and more particularly BC) get out of those batches ....?
Though over the last several years they have earned there place on the shelves and I look forward to every new cask experiment they let out.
They're not all A+ but they're all nectar of the gods!

this thread is making me very thirsty. Will have to go get my growler filled post fishing post work tomorrow.
They make a solid amber ale atm or maybe I will herald the Stormwatcher winter ale season...

Amidst all of this beer talk, I hope you purveyors of life's finer things remembered to vote!
On a related note, it looks like there will be a run on I&G's at your local beer stores. Also, I haven't enjoyed a nice cigar in a while.
On a related, related note, I have been ordering my cigars from www.cigarchief.com Some of the best prices around!

Mmmm...Stormwatcher. Not a big fan of V.I. brews, but I love that ale.
How about a beer and cigar aficionados meet and greet on a Vedder run one day? :D

Not sure if it helps or not but BC liquor stores do special orders... But only by the case (at the min).... Which shouldn't really be a problem, lol. Just find a good manager to put the order in.

I'd really like it if I&G came in a pack at Liqour stores instead of single serve.
Though I did find a 725ml original brew at one private store.
