Title: Hatchery Fish
Post by: LP89CG on October 17, 2015, 04:04:03 PM
Im not sure if im asking the obvious but here it goes.

The rivers with hatchery, say chehalis for example, do all the hatchery fish return to the hatchery or do the hatch fish go out and beyond the hatch to spawn? Since theres fishing above the hatchery... if i understand correctly where the hatchery is and what the regs are, or are my chances of getting a hatchery fish above the hatchery slim to none?

I believe they occupy the whole system.

At least in the Chehalis, many fish are caught above the hatchery channel.
