I am looking for a light fast action baitcasting rod with a line rating of about 8-12 lbs.
length of 9-10.5 ft.

There's a guy out in Surrey that sells fishing equipment out of his garage.
I bought a backup casting rod from him last year for about $65 bucks.

I can't remember the name of the rod but it has worked quite well.

His name is Merle - phone 604-581-0199

Edit: Sedge Highwater rod in medium/heavy.

Probably too heavy a rod for what you are looking for but he might have lighter ones.
