Title: Vedder River August 31, 2015
Post by: Taboo on September 02, 2015, 07:49:30 AM
Hit 3 stretches of river starting in the canal at first light.  Despite the weekend storm and massive amounts of rain, the river was holding up well.  One bull trout to show for my efforts, with a couple of old pinks skirting the stronger current sighted.  No strong evidence of any other fish moving up.  Mid-river about the same.  By lunchtime the river was starting to get coloured up.  Moved up-river for the afternoon.  Heavy rain ensued, and the river really started to take on that dirty colour, and was noticeably rising.  No fish sighted whatsoever after my visit to the canal.  It was more of a scouting mission as I am camped up at Cultus for the week.  Next outing will be today or Friday to see what this persistent rain has done to the conditions.

I'll post an update in the water condition section of General Discussion in a bit.  Heading into town for supplies and will take a couple of pics.
