I'm heading to the interior and would love to rent a float since I don't need one enough to justify float/waders/flippers cost so I was hoping to luck out on Share Shed.
Just wondering if anyone has used it and had good results. I'd like try a paddle board like this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPdMLYBmIZM

I take it that means no one has tried it?

Didn't even know it existed; I may rent some of my stuff on there. But have never used it.
It's the way of the decentralized economy tho - airbnb, uber, etc.

Nice! I'm going to put my surfboard on it since I barely used it.
The whole "sharing economy" is great. I used AirBNB to go to Holland last year. Way cheaper than hotels and I met a bunch of local Dutch people and most of them want to make you dinner and hang out.
I'd be careful though to stick with my inexpensive stuff. I wouldn't put my mountain bike on it, but my surfboard is old. I might be willing to put my snowboard on there....
For fishing gear: Float tube, waders, fins, you're looking at like $500-$1000 depending on quality. Hard to justify unless you use it a lot.
Same with fishing from a kayak, a canoe or a paddle board.
It makes other methods of fishing more accessible so I'm hoping it grows.
