Title: Smelt fishing

borrowed a net and would like a few tips on good places to try for smelt. also do tides and time of day make a difference?
hungry for a meal or 2 so any helpful info appreciated.

Did a lot of smelt fishing with my dad when I was a kid. Try Spanish Banks or West Vancouver. I find an evening high tide is productive for me.

Make sure it's high tide.... Preferably as the sun is going down...

Keep the net clean.  Ambleside is great or 3rd beach
