Be careful people! The upper Pitt is extremely dangerous this year. If you have to go, take your time and for F's sakes wear your life preserver!

This is so sad. When his name is released, it's going to shock a lot of people. He knew 1000's in the fishing industry and gave everything without reservation or hesitation. RIP.
-
Yes he did. This is a sad day for our local waters. I'm sure most know or know-of this fellow. He's been a mainstay in the fishing community for a long time.
-
Terrible news. The fishing community lost another one of the good ones.

Condolences to his family and friends. One of the nicest people in the fishing fraternity.

Wow sobering and very sad news.
He was always so friendly to me whenever I came into the store. I always looked forward to chatting with him, it wont be the same from now on.
-
Definitely going to miss the old guy

Sad news...I was just chatting with him briefly last week when I was at the store.

Assume boat hit some debris in the water.
Being a boater myself I can tell you 1st hand of the hazards of logs debris dead heads etc in the Fraser & local salt waters. ( including some lakes )
Speed & not seeing the debris in the boat path is a recipe for an accident.
If going fast the operator has to really watch & check out what's ahead.
Best is slow down & if one hits something at least the results will be less.
In 10 years where we've put in 100's of hrs yearly the times are many we nearly hit a deadhead or near submerged log.
RIP.

The boat lost power and drifted down river out of control.
