Hi there, still looking for that 13 footer?
-
Actually I was able to line one up.. Already got her! Good luck!

If it's the GLX 1563, I love that rod but only use it on medium flow rivers or low conditions on the Vedder! Since having a 3ll3LB built up, I rarely use my MB anymore. My only wish for my GLX is that I can find someone to carefully strip the rod down cause the guides and the sliding rings are it's only negatives!

Not to mention lack of a hook keeper

I totally agree with you. Do you find that you are having a tough time finding someone strip and rebuild? I wouldn't mind customizing some things on it as well. I know depending on how much you customize you could void the warranty on it. I love how awesome it is to cast long distant and keep that line off the water on your drift though.

Hey steel. Walter at searun could switch up that reel seat for you.

There's only 1 guy I trust building rods and he's semi - retired when it comes to building, he took almost 2 years to build my 3113LB but was well worth the wait. If I used Walter I would hand pick the cork myself but he does pretty good work!

I ended up snapping the rod on the first hook set and got Searun to send it in for a replacement. I had a chat with the guys there about customizing the reel seat along with new guides. Walter wasn't there. I"m sure he does great work but, I've heard both good and bad reviews from people so it makes me scratch my head a little. I definitely don't have 2 years to wait. Who else would you guys suggest?

Larry Cardus does really nice cork work. I can put you in touch with him. Brian Ford from west coast fishing tackle does really clean work. Good luck.

I would love some contacts before I commit on a rod builder.

Sent you a pm. By the way, which milner reel is that in your profile pic?

Customized 5" Kingfisher bushing with Labrador drilled holes in the back. No pm from you?
-
Very nice reel. Hmm, did it go to your email? Let me know if it didn't go through. I'll send again.

No it didn't.
