Title: Looking for a Don Campbell Centerpin Reel.
Post by: goodguy on March 24, 2015, 08:38:40 AM
Hi folks i know there are old threads about these reels but the software instructed me to start a new thread so here it is.

I have been trying, without luck, to track down a local craftsman by the name of Don Campbell...he makes centerpin reels.. I have tried Riverside , Freds etc  but they haven't had his contact info for a while.

My hope is that someone in the community knows how to get in touch with him I would appreciate someone either pointing me in his direction or giving me a line on one of his reels that may be for sale.

Cheers

The last time I spoke with Don (November at the Fraser Valley Salmon Society tackle sale) he had stopped building reels ... but possibly he could be convinced to build another, on a special commission. Sorry, I don't have his coordinates, but I do have a reel built by him I might part with, and it's never been used.

It's a 4" RHW bushing, anodized in olive green, a colour Don told me was rare for him. I have it spooled with 15lb Chameleon, but wound as a lefty.  As all Don's reels it spins, and spins ..

$375, pm me your email for pictures if needed or interested.

Goodguy
I will contact you tomorrow with his number. I just want to call him first before I give it out. I also have a brand new green lefty reel available (his first lefty).
