Since river level could be seen dropping overnight on the hydrograph, I decided to take my non-paying guests from UK out again this morning for another first light spoon casting session. The fish which we were targeting a couple of days ago were still there, but there seemed to be fewer. Some may have moved upstream with that bump of water yesterday. The bites were very light today, sometimes a few taps could be felt on the line before a fish committed. In the end, we managed to beach three hatchery-marked coho salmon. I caught the two bigger one, while one of the non-paying guests caught the smaller one and the other got skunked. Tips were not accepted as the host outfished the guests, but not that it would have been accepted anyway since it was a non-paying guided fishing trip.

She thinks I should stop bringing so many fish home. ;D

I take it back Rodney.
I guess I think on the dark side of things once in a while. You can twist words around and send the intent down another path.
I hope your friendly guests had a experience that they will be talking about for the rest of their lives.

I was just poking fun at your previous comment. ;D The guests have experienced beyond what they had expected in the past seven days. They are two boys who own a popular YouTube fishing channel in the UK and I invited them over to do some collaboration. During their short stay, they have landed numerous 6+ft sturgeon, including one that most of us will never get to see and touch, chum salmon, coho salmon by both float fishing and spincasting. Today was their last fishing day. We were going to head out this evening but they were quite content already so decided to stay away from the rain and enjoy a nice warm meal tonight instead. :)
