Since the Stave river is now pretty well washed out can you fly fish at Dewney Slough?
I seem to recall people with belly boats in Nicomen slough but that was years ago. I havent tried fly fishing for Coho any where else other than the Stave river.
Any help would be much appreciated.

The short answer is yes.Like anywhere else you will be in competition with gear guys but it can be done and with success.

I saw successful fly fishing yesterday on the Stave.

I don't know if there's much fishing up at Deroche these days but from the bridge at Dewdney Landing down to the mouth it can be accessed from shore and by watercraft from from tubes & toons to jet boats. Like everywhere else height of the Fraser and the amount of rain affects the fishing and bank opportunities.

If you watch for low tide and easily wade out and fly fish.
I did a lot of switch/fly fishing there last year.
