Title: Chilliwack River, October 16th 2014
Post by: Rodney on October 16, 2014, 11:28:34 AM
Went back to the same spot again this morning for a 1.5 hour session. Not as many fish moving and also not as many bites were had. I managed to land a hatchery buck, around 5lb near the start, followed by a couple of jacks. Roe was once again the ticket and once again, the spoon did not produce.

Fished upper river today.
More fishing showing that what i saw in the lower river yesterday.
Appeared to be mostly coloured up Springs.

Caught one nice looking spring jack, and lost a coho at the first light spot. Went to another run and landed a nice 6lb hatchery coho doe on my first cast and that was it for the day.

Was very slow today till mid day when they started to really come alive and get on the bite. That being said i could not hook much but one hatch, my partner was hooking them like mad and managed to land three hatch and three wild fish. We both know this spot like the back of our hands and have had double digit days each there. . . i guess thats just fishing and sometimes your that guy lol.
