I am trying to jump into centerpin reel fishing (zero experience).
My maximum budget is CAD150 for the reel.
Looking for a left-hand reel. I will not mind few scratches on the reel, as long as the reel works perfectly.
Please let me know, If you have one ready to go.
I am wondering can a right hand reel be spooled for left hand use?

For sure it can, the clicker will just be pointing forwards instead of rearward on some models.
Others like islander, are ambidextrous.

I've got a Rapala 4 1/2" used once with line, pouch and box. Can be used either right or left hand, reel is a bearing model. $100

This is pretty much it, but not all centrepins can be used both left or right handed. Some have clickers which only engage in one direction to enable a silent retrieve and therefore only usable with a specific handed-ness unless you never engage the clicker. And if a reel has a line guide/cage then that also limits it to a particular orientation.

Thanks a lot for the replies. I grabbed one okuma Sheffield s 1002 with ceramic gear for cad 130. I guess I got a good deal. I put 20 lb maxima chameleon. I already Landed 1 spring and 1 chum yesterday evening. Thanks.
