Title: Valuable time to spend near Chilliwack
Post by: Gronan on October 08, 2014, 05:51:27 PM
Hi everyone,

I'm going to Chilliwack for a half-day sturgeon fishing trip this Saturday, and as it will probably be the only time this year that I will go near Chilliwack, I'd like to spend the rest of the day fishing for salmon, either on the Fraser or the Vedder. I only have light gears, for spin-casting and fly-fishing, so bar fishing is excluded, for example.
So, where do you think would be the best spot to try ? That would be for the afternoon/evening.

Thanks a lot

Frog water...cast spoons or strip flies. Couple dug out pits in the lower vedder.

try Keith Wilson Bridge, you shouldn't have to que in line for more than a couple hours! Just kidding ... If you have waders you will be able to access in part of the lower Vedder, some spots will produce some will not. However I haven't had a bad day out there yet, even when no fish are caught.
Good luck
