In Vancouver.

You might want to thank redtide for putting in the effort to provide you with information, then clarify that you meant Vancouver, not the lower mainland.  How do we know that you can't travel outside of Vancouver?  Berry's is just a quick ride over the Knight Street bridge.

Have you tried calling Pacific Angler?  3 Vets might also sell roe.  However, I believe Berry's supplies a good part of the cured roe that's out there.  Good luck.

I would stay away from 3 Vets. Their fishing tackle section hasn't been the same since Harvey left.

Must be tough to be limited to only Vancouver. Are you also stuck fishing only in Vancouver? Not much choice there.

Fred's roe is no good, not hating just saying. I find that most roe sold at tackle shops are not good. It's best to make your own, or buy fresh roe and cure it if you can't get your own.

If you're in a pinch for roe and you're set on using bait, just cure up some deli shrimp. They work for coho. I'm sure you could probably just pinch a few from the restaurant at the end of the night, sprinkle on a little procure and rock salt, and they'll be ready in the morning.

I got my first red spring with Fred's roe bags. They are five or six single eggs in each sac and it cost 3$ a pop. Not bad but I prefer fresh roe I caught myself. Hoping to get some fresh roe this week. Will be using metal, imitations and raw prawns.

Anyone have a preference with prawn shell/tail on or off?
