Title: Skagit River, September 10th 2014
Post by: firebird on September 10, 2014, 07:46:09 PM
Was out for a short effort today with another guy. Noticed a lot of water on the road on the way in at 10:00am and exterior temp. was 7C. Talked to campers who said it rained heavily over night and there was a light dusting of snow up high.  The sun was out all day but it didn't get very warm. Mosquitoes were very scant. Fished at one popular access point and managed rises out of a few 'bows and lost a good sized one a tiny nymph - nothing to the beach. The water was low and noticeably colder than a week ago when it had come up a bit from heavy rain. Lots of bulls could be seen but we didn't target them.

I was there last week... mosquitoes at ross lake were insane. the fish seemed to be a little tighter lipped than usual too.
