Heading to shushwap next weekend , was thinking of chucking a line into the Adam river one morning, anyone have any experience fishing that river? Will be near the scotch creek area, thanks

I live at the start of the river. The water is pretty warm right now.74 f or so.Still some small trout to be caught in Roderic Haig Brown Park.some good pools down from the main parking area.Obey the danger signs. It is real, some bad washouts.Try some small flies in the riffles.Mountain whitefish can be fun on a floating line with tiny Tom Thumbs if they are around.

Thanx for that, would there be a better option for me near by ( the wife and 20 month old daughter are allowing me a morning of fishing haha) also have a really large canoe that I can use on shushwap

You might try wading and casting spoons in the little river between little and shuswap lakes.Never know when a big rainbow or bulltrout can be moving through and it is not as challenging as the Adams.
