Title: Merc 8 hp. short leg 2 stroke (early to mid-nineties motor)
Post by: mastercaster on July 31, 2014, 07:13:51 PM
Still debating on whether to sell it or not or even if it's a good time of the year to sell it. I guess I'll find out. Bought it from a buddy a couple of seasons ago to use on my flyfisher. That has happened only once because I tend to use my smaller 3 hp. motor when I need to use one. I have a 9.9 which I'm definitely keeping so this one is kind of redundant.

Recently serviced, 1-2 pulls and she starts, runs well. It has some rash on one side of the cover. According to my buddy it was because of the way it was packed in his pickup on one of his trips; rubbed on something. It certainly does not affect it's operation.

$750

After an inquiry for the weight of the motor I weighed it….comes in at 70 lbs.
