Wow, has anybody else been watching the counts? GREAT to see so many fish in the last few weeks, yesterday's total was 50! I'm curious if there is any chance that if the numbers stay up if DFO might eliminate the size restriction when it opens later this month? Anyone care to give their input....................maybe Chris? If nothing else it's great to see strong numbers after many years of low June-July returns!

Just noticed the numbers this morning as well. Keep in mind that this is an early run that has been on the decline for many years now, they are not gonna open up to larger size retention for sure. Good news is if this keeps up aug fishery wil be great and retention is all depending on temp of river and mortality rate. Hope they eliminate the flossing in this river or reduce leader lengths cause fisheries who manage this river are a joke.

Sockeye have started showing up in the test net as well - 3 so far. 2010 had 4 in the same time.

About half a dozen jumped in the 4 hours I fished north arm for sturgeon the other day
