I will have some time to take the kid fishing tomorrow, but it looks like low tide for most of the daylight hours. I guess my only option is a lake?
It's been a while since the last stocking of rainbow trout so I suspect they're mostly gone by now. Is there another species that is naturally abundant in a local lake at this time of year?
I'd really appreciate some advice on where to go and on what rig/bait to prepare.

Deer lake. Slip float. Worms
There are bass and some sunfish I believe.
Could still be some trout too
