Title: Kawkawa taken over yet?
Post by: strobes on May 29, 2014, 08:59:22 PM
Title says it all. Has the lake been taken over by water skiers or is this weekend still safe for us folks with little car toppers?

It looked like a lot of people were arriving at the resort today. One ski boat churning the waters at about 2:00pm just before I left. As Chris said, go early and you should be fine.

June is usually still very quiet, especially on weekdays. Once school holiday starts in July, it's best to stay off the lake if you are fishing in a small boat.

Get there at first light in the summer and have 4 or 5 hours fishing before all the youngins wake up to dunk them selves ;D . Then hit up Silverhope Creek to finish off the day .

You should have been there first thing in the morning. 4:30am. Salmon bite best at first light.
