Just a quick report on white pine yesterday. My friend and I got to the lake around 9ish; the dock was looking pretty busy so we hiked around the lake until we found a better spot. Right away we had some nibbles but kept missing the hook set; used pink died deli shirmp. Changed spots a little while later and managed to land a average size (maybe 6-9 inches long at guess) rainbow using power bait eggs, we let him get back to his day. Lots of jumps and surface action but only the one fish to show for the day. Still had a great time though and the weather held up just fine for us.

Do you mean Sasamat Lake? I know the beach area is called White Pine
Have you tried a fly on a bobber, can be good if the fish are rising but not taking bait

Growing up we always called it white pine but yes it is the same as sasamat lake. I have not tried a fly with a bobber but that might be worth a try next time, thanks!
