Don't mention bouncing for anything other than Sockeye - even that is very touchy.

When the seasons open, drive down the highway, look for 3 miles of cars parked bumper to bumper, and start walking!

It shouln't be.  Its a method to set the hook legally in the mouth. Some go naked, some use corkies and/or yarn, we never know if the salmon flossed or bit. Some spear fish, some use nets, some bait a hook, and BB'ing is just another way to fish.  Haters gunna hate i guess??  ::)

Isn't the point of fishing to trick the fish?

Yes. I don't disagree with ya.

I only flossed once, 2 years ago in Hope, had a blast! It was a great intro into the sport as it was simple. Since then I have spent many hours on the Fraser, Vedder, and a couple locally stocked lakes learning how to drift jigs, bait, bar rigging, and spoons and spinners. But without a boat to fish the Harrison, I want to catch sockeye this summer, and flossing in Hope sounds like the only way to guarantee. I will try the Vedder too, but not BB, I will use spinners and jigs to try to get a spring.
