Title: Oak Bay, April 7th 2014: Halibut

Quite a successful day out with Blue Wolf Charters (http://www.bluewolfcharters.com/) from Oak Bay Marina near Victoria BC.

Turns out a Sea Lion liked the look of those fish in the water and while our backs were turned he chomped on the biggest one luckily all the stomping around we were doing aboard the boat must have scared him off.

Once the Halibut were done we started on the Salmon

Did you do a full day or half day charter? Looks tempting. Now just need to find 4 guys to fill the boat. Any volunteers?

Beside yourself you need 3 more but it's more comfortable with just 3 in total-check for availability.

Those hali's looks yummmy. Now that kind meat fishing I wanted to do. ;D

 Thanks for the report.This has got me going.We are heading out to go halibut fishing with Foghorn Charters tomorrow.Kind of a kick-off retirement for my buddy and I.Hope our luck is similar to yours.Nothin like halibut and chips!
