Title: Anchovies from last year.
Post by: janders on April 04, 2014, 11:34:08 AM
I just pulled out some Anchovies from my freezer that are from last year still in the vacuum package but I see the eyes have gone cloudy. Planning on going out this weekend to find some springs hopefully. I was planning on running Spoons and bait.

Are these anchovies toast or will a Dry or Wet brine with bluing etc. make them usable again? Or do I just stuff them in the crab trap. They still look to have a shine and blue to them so I'm thinking they might be ok.

Fish will hit anything. Use a purple haze UV teaserhead - the eyes won't matter as you stick a toothpick/pin through anyways
