I see G. Loomis has introduced a new line up of Steelhead/Salmon rods geared towards our fishing styles, there are some new rods and actions now available that look interesting. The IMX material has been reworked, and is said to be stronger and lighter then previous IMX's. Reviews from guys field testing them in the states have all been very good. They should be in the G. Loomis booth at Tradex show to check out, if they haven't made it to the retailers shops.
The IMX 1363 (11'4") centre pin rod, and IMX 1262(10'6") casting rod, have really caught my attention and look forward to fishing them soon.

Hey Al,
Do you know if they will sell these rods in just blanks? I would be super interested in that 13 footer(6-10) but custom built the way I want it! Are you coming down for the show this year?
-
Haven't heard anything different, no blanks.
I think that 13' would be too light for anything out here! It won't be like your 13' GLX.
Yes, looking like I will be at show, if I don't see you on the river before then, stop by and we'll catch up, and I'll let you know how they fish.

So how is fishing the 1363-4?
And how much weight are you casting?
I haven't seen many reviews of the new centerpin rods and I'm really curious

The 1363 IMX was very nice to fish, very light in hand and crisp.
Fished floats to 25gr casting the rigs just fine, but I found it lacked power in the bottom end when dealing with bigger steelhead.
