Hi all, I was just chatting with a few friends about fishing, some how got swayed into an argument about daily quotas on carp. I can't seem to find any info on the daily quotas for carp and non game fish, I know that you can spear fish for them so I assume you could retain?? Anybody know where I can find this info?? Thanks!

Kill em all, don't know why there's a quota on bass or crappie though boggles the mind.

For species which are not considered as gamefish in the freshwater fishing regulations, there are no daily quotas. With that said, there are exceptions which people should be aware of. Some "non-game species" are protected, you can find a list of them on page 10 at:
http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/fw/fish/regulations/docs/1315/fishing_synopsis_2013-15_provincial.pdf
You should also not kill native non-game species for no reason.

Wow, thanks for the info

Are humans fair game? I don't see them listed. There are definitely a few that need removal from the gene pool. ;)

Ian of course there are, but like everthing there are consequences even when something that needs to get done finally is!
