Title: Fraser Valley, November 10th 2013
Post by: BCfisherman97 on November 10, 2013, 05:18:16 PM
Got to the river a little late and did not know how it would look as it was my first time fishing it this year. Walked my way down and there was 6 guys already working the first little run, kept walking and there was maybe 10 guys in the next one! Wow, well kept walking and found my way to my favourite hole. No fish jumping as we were tying up. My buddy gets a big wild first cast and a hatchery on his second. I lost one on my first cast and then landed my two hatcheries on the next 2. In the next 2 hours my friend landed one more wild, my dad landed a wild and a hatchery plus lost 2, I landed 3 wilds, 6 hatcheries (the biggest one slipped out of my hand and snapped my line grabbing the tail), and lost 3 more. Some fish had a little colour but we decided to smoke those but they were still covered in sea lice. Once we bonked the 5th total fish, everyone started to come to the run we were fishing. Almost looked like a hoard of zombies in the movies walking in packs, within 10 minutes there were 10 other guys. We decided to look at another run but it was too shallow. We decided to make the drive across to the Stave to catch the tide. Another coho and plenty of fresh chum.

I handed the rod off to my dad and my friend until we all finished our day. We were still a coho short so we decided to make the drive across to the Stave to catch the tide. Another coho and plenty of fresh chum.

Great report - looks like a great day!

Very Nice Report, How do you fish the chum? with jigs? What type of water do you fish?

Jigs, use the search function to find some info. The Stave River thread that you've posted in has info in the type of water people like to fish.
