Went out for about 20 minutes yesterday afternoon as only had that time to fish before I headed home for a grouse dinner and to watch the Leaf game. Was just getting ready to pack it up but had one bait left so popped it on and what would you know I hook a coho. I say most likely a wild but as it nears the beach I see it is clipped. A nice 6 to 7 pound doe goes home with me. Gosh and I thought the coho salmon season was over.
Dinner was good and the Leaf won, a perfect day. ;D ;D

Good to hear, except for the Leafs win. How was the water level? Has there been enough rain last night/this morning to provide any kind of a bump in the water level?

No bump, but at least it stopped dropping. Hopefully we get some more this weekend.

Bang on Milo, it's certainly needed ... lots of pink salmon spawning areas high and dry but hopefully sub surface gravel is wet enough to keep these eggs alive till higher flows.

It was a close game, the flames could have had them if it wasn't for bernier's goaltending clinic. I don't think the leafs steak will last much longer. At least Chris is happy for now. :)

was out on the vedder last thursday upper river. fished by the allison pool area. talked with a fellow fisherman about salmon runs this year. after a few dozen casts he pulled a badge out and asked for my fishing license. just wanted to make sure had license to fish. talked for a bit more about snaggers and then he left in an unmarked white pickup. Undercover CO...... be good out there.
