Title: What happened to the Stave pinks?

I am just curious if anyone knows what happened to the run of pinks that the Stave River once had? I can remember back in 2003 when the run was quite large and it was very easy to get your limit.

No idea what happened to them.  However I went to explore the Stave over a month ago, before there were many pinks in the Fraser, and they were in there for sure.  I could see males already with humps jumping in the toilet bowl area.

Would it be worth it to go fishing for pinks now in the stave? Or would it be better to stick to the vedder or fraser.
