Title: Tidal Fraser River, September 6th 2013
Post by: Taboo on September 06, 2013, 07:07:04 PM
Back at it today!  3 landed!!  Much more activity on the river today in terms of visible fish surfacing and general fishy presence.  Fished with 3 other guys and they all hit at least 1 with varying degrees of freshness.  2 of mine were silver bright with sea lice, one was a big humpy dinner plate already.  Fish brining as we speak...the smell of Alder awaits....

Fished after work in Surrey area. Landed one. Total 3 fish among 20+ rods. But heard that earlier the day much better fishing than evening.

Fished 6:00-7:30 this morning, no action. Went there again this afternoon 3:30-6:30 pm, at 4:44 landed my first pink of this season, landed the second one one hour later. They were not aggressive and all were soft bites.

Fished Richmond South Arm from 5:00 to 7:30 pm.  I hooked five but landed only two.  I was fly fishing :)

Most takes were VERY close to shore, even though the rollers were further out.  Now what really messes with my mind is - were they in close all along, or did they follow my fly in????

Added bonus:  I saw a very large sturgeon roll on the surface.  Scary!
