Title: Nelson Road access
Post by: Tuckster on September 05, 2013, 10:58:29 AM
Was wonderig if there was access to the fraser from Nelson road. It looks like there is limited parking and a gated off area to a path along the fraser. Is it all private? was planning on trying there this afternoon.

You are correct, there is limited parking. There are a couple ok spots along there but lots of snags in that area so it can pay to see it at low tide first or you could loose alot of gear. Dyke rd is public but it is gated so you have to walk in.

Dyke road as in south of richmond? or closer to the Nelson road area?

I prefer walk in areas as I like to get away from the crowds.

I think it is called Dyke rd right at the end of Nelson rd where it meets the Fraser.

Oh ok, perfect. I think i'll try my luck. There looks to be a few rockpiles a little walk away.
