fished for about 2 hours today just above the mission bridge from shore. put a snapswivel on my spinningrod, because i wanted to try a bunch of different lures. first spoons, started with 1/4 ounce up to 1/2 ounce in different shades of pink, red, orange neon red, blue, green and even brass. nothing switched to blue fox spinners. # 3 and 4. same idea, pink, red yellow, blue, green, purple and black with yellow dots. nada. no fish was rising . fished with the incoming tide right up to high tide . shall try again tomorrow. any suggestions about the timing of the tide ? the same spot i fished 2 years ago and i caught plenty of pinks. still to early perhaps ? cheers harry

Harry - there are fish in the river but the main run is not in yet. Give it another few days and you should be into some fish.
Personally, I'll be back out again this weekend, but I won't be expecting the big push until later this week.
