Title: Quadra island freshwater fishing?

Going next month, not able to do any salmon fishing.  Anyone fished main lake or any other recommended freshwater lakes for a 1/2 day fishing? Not much info online, not looking for any secret spots just general info  :)

Never fished Main Lake myself but years ago I saw a bunch of trout from there. They all had lamprey scars. That is the only time I have ever seen that.

Are you open to do saltwater fishing from shore? I have never been to Quadra, however based upon reports on this site from other members, there seems to be a a productive beach fishery for coastal cutthroat.
