Drat! I was going to catch that one! ;D

Dang, that's a beauty taken out of the gene pool.
-
good thing they bonked it :-\
-
In the day and age of camera phones, etc, so sad to have killed the fish .... what a waste. There are lots of studies where the scientists have found conclusive evidence that big fish breed big fish.
Hey Ho. ::)
-
The fool wanted to collect his pin for the tyee club ::)
-
Funny I had heard just the opposite but who knows these days with every side of every issue spewing bulls*^t in today's world...
I think Rodney might have had something written about the the lack of correlation between big fish breeding big fish? maybe not though i know i read it somewhere. If its conclusive thAts too bad. I wouldn't have killed it myself as it would be too tough to try and eat... I like fillets.
-
genetics are genetics, big fish, if spawning with another big fish, will produce big fish, but with the lack of big fish, due to people retaining them over the smaller ones for the meat, and the intervention of hatcheries, big fish have become increasingly rarer.
-
BEAST :o
-
haha funnny some ppl say release the smaller ones and now say release bigger ones LOL haha
-
good for a picture and that's it. or the cannery if you had to kill it depending on how it was hooked. when they are that big they don't taste good. obmg has done there best to round up the biggest group of killers out of any lodges up and down the coast

Fact. There are a few nice papers out there with graphs showing trends in size reduction for past 20-30 years.
-
Well my dad caught a 54LB at the vedder long time ago maybe 6-7 years I think
it's mounted on the wall LOL
-
Well my dad caught a 54LB 47inches at the vender long time ago maybe 6-7 years I think
it's mounted on the wall LOL
Nothing to be proud about.
Where's this vender anyway?
-
I mean vedder what do you mean nothing to be proud of? Lots of 30 pounders cought but not many 54lbs if it was your fish you would be happy right lol
-
lol
lol
Judging by your posts, it's a waste of time explaining to you why removing a large spawner is wrong.
-
I don't think no one well not many ppl would release a tyee like that
-
ya ok, enjoy that mount. i'm sure that fish is more useful sitting ur living room than producing a few thousand offsprings.
i guess size still matters to some.
Woot! Look, bit tyee!

-
Well technecly there all spawners
-
you don't get it, and you never will. this is what happens when bad fishing practice is passed on from one generation to another.
-
Why u so mad nothing illegal happend yes if it spawned they would be bigger fish and I understand it was his first fish of the year and also the first spring to !
you eat tuna don't you? You know how big those get don't you? Of course bigger the parent bigger the babies then???
