Title: Have you seen this before?
Post by: banx on August 06, 2013, 12:21:56 PM: Was planning on eating a couple of rainbows I caught at ross lake. The first one I 'planned' on eating looked a lot skinnier than all the other bows I caught the day before or even that morning.

But it was lunch time..... So i get this guy to shore and begin the cleaning process. Then I start to see these bizarre bumps all over the organs and digestive tract of the fish. The fish had no exterior issues. no bumps, sores and gills looked healthy. just a bit skinny for the middle of summer.

I've cleaned and eaten a lot of trout and salmon in my day.... I've never seen this. So the seagulls got a tastey treat.

anyone seen this before or knows what it is?

Post by: Chuck on August 06, 2013, 12:45:41 PM: we found the same thing on a couple we caught up in one of the Squamish lakes, maybe two years ago. i did some research but found nothing about them.
