Looking to buy a 10 lb. Cannon ball for the downrigger . I need one that is the torpedo style . The reason is , I am finding I get a lot of drag with the round style causing my boat to pull to one side . If I change over to the torpedo style this might not happen . If you have one for sale give me a text @ 604-720-0004

Buy a discus type. They usually come with a stainless fin attached. You bend the fin slightly outwards which makes the weight track away from the boat to the outside just a bit. It also helps when you go into a turn, the weight will not go under the boat dragging your lines towards the prop.
You can turn on a dime with no trouble. I was told about this trick 20 years ago or more. Good luck.
